Dr. Elizabeth B. Torres is a tenured Professor at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. She holds multidisciplinary appointments at the Psychology Department, the Rutgers Center for Cognitive Science and the Computational Biomedicine Imaging and Modeling Center of the Computer Science Department.

Dr. Torres is also the Executive and Scientific Director of the New Jersey Autism Center of Excellence, funded in part by the NJ Governor’s Council for the Research and Treatments of Autism and by the NJ Department of Health.

Dr. Torres combines her scientific career with public service and creates innovative technologies to help improve quality of life across the human lifespan. She has been granted multiple patents by the US Patent Office, is the author of two peer-reviewed books and multiple papers in high profile peer-reviewed scientific journals. Her research has brought to Rutgers University over 8 million dollars to advance her innovative model of Precision Autism.
